Comments: This is just the non-multicoated version of the 50mm f/2 H.C non-AI. It is still great, I still wish it focused closer. There are AI versions of this lens which focus down to 0.45 meters/1.5 feet. Given that Nikon made like half a million of these lenses it was fairly hard to find one in good shape.

The early versions have ribbed aperture rings.

The later Nippon Kogaku and Nikon versions have scalloped aperture rings.

The C version has a black front ring.

The later K version and AI version focus to 1.5 feet or 0.45 meters.
