Nikkor 20mm f/2.8 AI-S (1984 - present)
This sample circa '85.
Filter size: 62mm
Close focus: 0.85 feet/0.25 meters
Aperture range: f/2.8 - f/22
Aperture blades: 7
Depth of field scale for f/5.6, f/11 - f/16, IR index.
Design: 12 elements in 9 groups
More information: Ken Rockwell
Comments: Focuses fairly close and a nice performer. I'd rather have 52mm filters and a slower lens, but the f/2.8 seems to be better than the older f/3.5 or f/4 designs. The (unfortunately discontinued) Voigtlander 20mm f/3.5 might be a better lens for those reasons.

crisp, beautiful images from both of these old lenses (the 20 mm and the 135 mm from... umm... tomorrow's post?).
