Design: 9 elements in 7 groups
Has close range correction. All versions are multicoated whether or not they are engraved with a C. Older versions marked Nippon Kogaku are pretty rare, about 3000 made.

Also available in AI and AI-S versions. The latest AI-S version focuses slightly closer, so it is probably the best option.
The lens looks quite similar to the 35mm f/1.4N and the newer 105mm f//2.5P with the black front:
